A bit to the south are Arlington and Mansfield, and Crowley and Burleson, four more booming cities in Tarrant County. If you want "the wide open spaces," just a smidge west of Fort Worth we'll find Benbrook, and then Aledo and the Lake Weatherford area. "If ya wanna be a cowboy or cowgirl, this is where ya go."

I am so glad you are considering relocating to the Greater Fort Worth area. It's a great place to live. The weather is great, and the economy is both diverse and vibrant. Unlike many other "sunbelt" areas of the country, the Tarrant County/Fort Worth area still has vast land area for expansion, a much newer system of highways and infrastructure, and is NOT experiencing the type of water shortages similar to that of many areas you might have read about recently in the national news media.
